Trust is written in parallel in English and Swedish — not translated after the fact, but built twice, sentence by sentence, so that each version reads as if it were the original.

The novel grows out of years spent close to the plumbing of modern finance: the settlement windows, the alert queues that no one reads, the controls that exist mainly as a line in a policy document. The thriller is invented. The mechanics are not.
